At Ezpeleta, we believe that furniture doesn’t just complete a project… it transforms it.
And that is exactly what we have experienced together with the Portonovo Nautical Club, in a place that beats to the rhythm of the sea, community and summer life.
The Portonovo Nautical Club was founded on August 15, 1992, when a group of sea lovers came together to promote nautical sports in the area and turn this corner of the Ría de Pontevedra into a meeting point for locals and visitors alike.
Portonovo, located in the heart of the Rías Baixas (municipality of Sanxenxo), is a seaside town with history and a vibrant atmosphere. Although its population does not exceed a few thousand in winter, during summer it multiplies: social and sporting life is lived day and night.

This project was not just another one. For a space like this, the furniture had to live up to its history and real use. In an environment where the sea and the breeze permeate everything, maintenance and functionality are essential. At the same time, aesthetics must speak of landscape, calm and movement.
That is why the Ezpeleta pieces selected for the Nautical Club respond to criteria that truly matter on a daily basis. The set formed by the Fado chair, the Rodas table and the Vigo parasol shares an elegant, functional and timeless design; materials conceived for demanding outdoor use; stackability and lightness as allies in daily operations; ease of maintenance without sacrificing comfort; and aesthetic coherence with the nautical and coastal surroundings.

Each element, each detail contributes to the experience of the place: when the club is full of activity, when the sea sets the pause, when the season is alive… and when calm returns.
That this project is part of the Ezpeleta catalogue is also a symbol: a team, a space and solutions that respond to the real needs of everyday use, with purpose and quality.
We are deeply grateful to the Portonovo Nautical Club for trusting Ezpeleta,
and to everyone who, like us, knows that good design is at the service of the life that is lived.
